WSU Video, Post-Notre Dame

Good morning Cougs.  Hey, did you see we're going to be on TV AGAIN!?  Looks like the UCLA game has been picked up, per Grippi.  Very, very good news indeed, the more TV the better.  Although it's on one of those Fox Sports "things" that you may or may not have in your cable package.  Like the Arizona game, the UCLA game will also be replayed later in the evening.

That said, you wonder what putting a November 14th home game vs. a not-good UCLA team will do to the attendance, although the team has been away from Pullman FOREVER and a day.  They could play against air and probably still draw some RV's for the tailgate (come for the party, stay for the game as our good friend Hooty tells it).

Good video from the show last night, with the usual sideline stuff as well as plays blended in with the Bob-n-Jim radio calls.  You have to love what FSN can do though.  The Cougs get dominated, basically, but you watch the highlights from the broadcast and  you would swear that they won the game!  It's great though, to get a glimpse of the sideline where you normally don't get to see the action.  They do seem more intense and into things this year compared to last year?

Here's the video, after the read more.  It's just under 10 minutes long, per Youtube's 10-minute rule.  Also, if you make it to the end, see if you can catch Jen Mueller's flub while talking about the WSU - Arizona game from the 2000 season.  Some of the details are right, but there is one thing that is VERY WRONG with what she says.

Did you catch the huge fact that they got wrong?

All for now.  Enjoy your day, and GO COUGS!

I'll go with us winning that game. Revisionist history at its best.
All Access is great!

You would think that we were a top 25 team watching that show. Good to see that energy and enthusiasm with the players, despite the struggles they are having. Being able to see and hear the guys on the sidelines and during pregame warm-ups gets you a little more connected to them...and psyched up! Go Cougs!!
She got the wrong winner

I love the sideline action as well. I used to watch that damn ducks show just because even I hated them but the sideline action is great. I love all the old NFL films when coaches and players were miked. There is a great Brett Favre one that is legendary of him and Holmgren screaming at each other.

And Jenny M got the wrong winner of that game. Good catch. That was a wild loss. I am sure Gesser could have told her he lost that game since they talk every week.

That UA game we lost is also footage used in the movie You, Me, and Dupree. When Matt Dillon hosts his friends to watch the game, and you see Gess get lit up!

Its fun watching a highlight reel that makes it looks like we WON 40-14 instead of the other way around.

I also really like seeing the interactions between the coaches and the kids. One thing is for sure: You can tell that these guys love the kids as well as their jobs. Otherwise, the scene would look like Nick Holt post ASU's late touch ALL THE TIME...

Thanks for putting in the time to make the vid, Hawk..

Last I checked it was about $6 a month to pick up the fox college sports package on Comcast, so you could get all the different regional channels. Just in case you don't want to wait until 7:30 to watch it on FSN.

I plan on getting score updates at the library. That way when I watch the game at 7:30, I'll know the score and be able to analyze the game instead of being depressed by it lol.

$5.99/mo. for all the sports channels on Comcast, including the NFL Network, MLBtv and NBAtv. Its about 10-15 extra sports channels total, and well worth the price.
